2026 Alliance
party list

Meet the candidates

The Alliance Party has announced its party list and electorate candidates for the 7 November 2026 general election.

The line-up brings together frontline workers, community representatives, professionals, trade unionists and small businesspeople to challenge the political status quo.

Alliance Party Leader Victor Billot says the candidates offer voters a clear democratic socialist choice in an election dominated by “inertia and managed decline”.

“Working people across New Zealand are bearing the brunt of runaway living costs, deteriorating public services and housing insecurity, while wealth and power continue to be concentrated in the hands of a few,” says Mr Billot.

“The Alliance was built to break the two-party establishment. We are not running to tinker around the edges or manage austerity. Our candidates are active in their communities and workplaces, ready to fight for public ownership, workers’ rights and social justice.”
